The Best Peaberry Coffee is a light roast with hints of lemon, peach and black tea. Thanks to the light roast (and perhaps the magical properties of the peas), this makes for a very clean and crisp cup. The tanzania peaberry coffee is harvested in Moshi on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. This option has a nice, smooth body and uses 100% arabica beans, which is an indicator of a good batch. The company itself claims to have sustainable sourcing and low-carbon roasting processes.
If you haven’t had a chance to develop a taste for Peaberry coffees yet, consider brewing it at a slightly lower temperature and using less coffee than you are used to until you get the blend that works best for you. Work in small batches and pay special attention to the size of your grind; if you feel too well, you may suffer from a bitter and greasy drink.

- KONA PEABERRY 7 oz GROUND - It takes over 200 pounds of picked coffee cherry to make a single pound of roasted Kona Peaberry coffee. Arguably the most exquisite coffee in the world, Kona Peaberry can be found in boutique shops for substantially more due to its unique taste and rarity.
- HIGH-QUALITY GREAT TASTE - Our roasting process is premium and high quality. Compare our Hawaiian coffee to any other Hawaiian coffee and notice the remarkable differences in both overall taste and quality of the coffee.
- PEABERRY KONA ROAST COFFEE - Its smooth, slightly spicy taste is more flavorful, with less caffeine and much less acidity than any other coffee. This football-shaped bean grows naturally with the rest of the Kona coffee crop but accounts for only a small amount of the total crop.
100% Kona Whole Bean Coffee is 100% pesticide free and has a smooth, round taste. Coffee has a very low acidity. This blend is closer to the dark end of the roast spectrum for medium dark coffee and works particularly well in a French press. Suggested proportions are 1 tablespoon of Hualalai Estate Peaberry Kona coffee per 14 fluid ounces of water. This was one of the most expensive options we looked at.
Joel Cooperson was a teacher who grew coffee and sold it at the local Walmart in Kona. After he increased the demand, he turned his 2 acre parcel into a huge 150 acre coffee farm with his coffee sold throughout North America. Joel’s exponential growth has not affected the taste of his coffee (thankfully) and he is one of my favorites when it comes to large kona coffee plantations.
While other blueberry coffees tend to have pronounced acidity, the defining characteristic of Hualai Estate Peaberry is its mild spiciness. Combined with a silky smooth finish, this coffee makes for a strong early afternoon drink. It also pairs well with pumpkin and / or gingerbread cookies.

Actually, this is one of our top recommendations if you’re just looking to try Kona Coffee. So if you are looking to discover two trends with a single bag, this is the option for you. It is a dark roast, so it departs from the typical brightness of most berry options in favor of a more intense and stronger profile. It’s 100% Kona and! 00% blueberry. We recommend this if you are looking to make an espresso or if you are just a coffee with a more pronounced bitterness.
