Our first meeting ever of the Seattle Coffee Society. I organized this group to foster better communication and discussion between all the fantastic coffee professionals that live and work in Seattle.

I also started the New York Coffee Society in 2007. We had dozens of events between 2007 and 2010, with more planned for the spring of 2011 in the Big Apple.

The topic for our first ever meeting was the complicated market dynamics that allow certain origin countries to become “superstar” orgins, while other countries with similar circumstances go under-represented. Our next Seattle Coffee Society meeting will be in January of 2011.
